Although the Loop Drive is closed to motorized travel in the winter, those who are properly prepared can still explore the monument on our winter trails. The Loop Drive has been groomed for cross country skiing and skate skiing. If you dont own any that is ok! There are also trails for snowshoeing, the Visitor’s Center offers snowshoe rentals for a five dollar donation. So come on out and explore our winter wonderland!
